Running Accomplishments:

I started running in 2008 while I was a stay-at-home-mom.  I discovered this blog in July 2010 and followed the advice from the blog to gradually improve my distance/speed.  I achieved various PR's in 2010/2011.   I went back to work part-time in 2012-2015 and switched to mostly running trail runs.   When I got prego with my third child in 2016, I stopped running and started work full-time.   After a 7 year hiatus, I returned to running in 2022.  I have alot of work to do to get back in shape, but looking forward to the challenge!

Ran with Ashley and Tim today. We went slower for most of it but I was charging the hills. Mile 3 and mile 7 were uphill. Ash wasn't feeling good today so she and Tim left after 7 miles and I did the rest on my own.

Ashley was asked to be part of her company's corporate running team and they are flying her to San Francisco this weekend to compete in a big corporate track meet (several companies have teams and are competing)! Pretty cool. She's running either the 5k or 10k. She's getting paid to do this. They are paying her hotel, flight, per diem and a paid day of work off. She's taking Tim with her.

LOL I know, right! Actually, I worked there for 4 years before I quit to be a stay-at-home mom. One of my co-workers called me a couple months ago and asked if I wanted to come back because they were hiring. They have every other Friday off AND a track/cc team! When I worked there before I had kids, I wasn't running... but I participated on the "Happy Hour" team. Ha, ha! It's a really good company. In a couple years I might be ready to go back. I just don't want to miss out on this opportunity to stay home with my kids right now.
