Running Accomplishments:

PRed in Malibu Nov. 2009 with a 4:00:25, I think.  Shy of sub-4 hours and shy of BQ 3:45.

Other marathon times:

May 2009: Orange County (4:21) and LA (4:15)

Feb. 2010: Surf City (4:09)

Took a couple years off from running in 2013-2014. Haven't done any marathons since 2011 though I started doing half marathons again in 2017.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Still want to qualify for Boston (3:55).

Want to qualify for the NYC Marathon by running a 1:42 half marathon.

Upcoming Races

Long Beach Half Marathon Oct. 8

Surf City Marathon Feb. 2018--I'm training to try to BQ.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to keep running marathons into my 70s.

Swam a mile instead of running.

Felt good after doing a swim yesterday instead of a run.  I'm torn between taking off two days a week to recover and running six days a week

Loved the overcast skies that made for a cool run this morning.  Have I mentioned that I am doing all of my weekly runs in the morning these days?  I get up at freakin' 6am to run.  A life-long runner, I never thought I would be an AM runner.

Ran at Back Bay with the running group.  We had some slower people, so I ran slower than usual, which was probably good for recovery.  I'm thinking of taking 2 days in a row off before starting on 8 milers.
