Running Accomplishments:

PRed in Malibu Nov. 2009 with a 4:00:25, I think.  Shy of sub-4 hours and shy of BQ 3:45.

Other marathon times:

May 2009: Orange County (4:21) and LA (4:15)

Feb. 2010: Surf City (4:09)

Took a couple years off from running in 2013-2014. Haven't done any marathons since 2011 though I started doing half marathons again in 2017.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Still want to qualify for Boston (3:55).

Want to qualify for the NYC Marathon by running a 1:42 half marathon.

Upcoming Races

Long Beach Half Marathon Oct. 8

Surf City Marathon Feb. 2018--I'm training to try to BQ.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to keep running marathons into my 70s.

Did a new run on a hilly loop on a warmish morning.  Felt great.

Did it in about 50 min. and will probably be a little sore tomorrow from the hills.  Knees feel fine.

Ha, ha.  Today was the last day of classes.  I was tired of grading and thought I'd go for an afternoon run.  I was a mile into a 5 mile loop when I suddenly remembered I had one more class to teach.  I quickly ran back and took a fast shower and barely got to the class in time.  So I only got in two miles today.  Only need 6 more to hit my week's goal:  no problem.
