I mapped my run on mapmyrun.com. It said it would be 11 miles. When I got to the turn around point, it didn't feel like it has been 5.5 miles, so I went a little further. When I got home, I checked it on maps.google.com, and it was only 9.5 miles. Bummer! So much for using that site. The course tool on this site doesn't work well on my neighborhood either. Maybe I'll have to give in and get a GPS watch.

I went and ran 1.5 miles on the treadmill to get my goal mileage for the day. That puts me at 45 miles for the week! Now I can taper before the race next week.

I felt good on the run. I don't think my body had to adjust too much to not running on the treadmill. But I was a little more sore than normal.

I stayed below 180 lbs. this week. I've lost at least 5 lbs since the beginning of the year, but I don't know exactly what I was when I started, so it could be closer to 7-8 lbs. Now people can call me chunky instead of fatso. :)

Good job meeting your mileage goal for the week. At least people don't take pictures of your stomach and name it Little Budda. That is what a few of my running friends down here have done to me. If you can save up for a Garmin, I would highly recommend it. I really like mine, I have the 205, which does everything I want.

Once they start calling you hefty, you know you've stepped down the next rung on the ladder.
