I lost my dinner on the side of the freeway last night. Those were the best fireworks I experienced. :) I'm sure you really wanted to know that. :)

I was discussing with my wife about my race, and one thing we were wondering is if the treadmill running has maybe caused me to have a harder time pushing in races. Maybe because I've gotten used to it pushing me. Maybe. Either way, I'm going to run less on the treadmill in preparation for St. George.

I am no expert, but I would say YES. I know RivertonPaul trains mostly on the treadmill and he would disagree, but I noticed that I struggled a lot more outside and ran slower after running too much on the treadmill.

Good luck!

Thx, kelli. And thx for your other comment and words of encouragement. We don't have a TV at home, so sometimes the TV with the treadmill sucks me in. But I'm psyched to do some hard core training the next months.

Actually, i should say we don't have cable/satellite and don't have a converter box, so we basically have no TV at home at this point. It's actually really nice most of the time.

I really like TV while on the treadmill. The TV's at our gym have been on the fritz (or the satellite has been on the fritz) so I find myself just staring at people working out. I feel like a stalker!

TV at home drives me nuts. I keep shutting the armoirs (not sure how to spell that word, sorry) hoping the kids and my husband will leave them alone, but to no avail. I say the TV is off limits, but everyone ignores me. I hold no power at my house.

Nice fireworks. I hope they were colorful and better coming up than they were going down.

Kelli - when people make eye contact with you do you quickly glance away?

Yes, Burt. It freaks me out!

Then yep. You're a stalker.
