Second marathon was Oct 1, 2011 in the heat of St George.  Time fell to 4:52:27.

With two marathons behind me, my next goal is to run one in under 4 hours and potentially qualify for Boston within 2 years.

It was a choice between shoveling snow or running this morning.  We had heavy snow fall last night, but it mostly blew away by morning.  It definitely would have been useless trying to shovel away the little patches this morning.  Instead I ran.  GPS is not working, but I ran the same route as last time and I figure it was 4.65 miles.

GPS decided to work; I decided to get up at 4:05.  Therefore, I have a distance of 5.52 miles and a time of 52:41 for an average pace of 9:33/mile.  It's a long ways from where it used to be, but it is what it is.

At least my frequency and distance are gradually increasing.

6.48 miles in under an hour 59:53.  That must be 6.5miles per hour.  Pace ranged from 10:39 for the first mile to 8:16 for the last partial with the fastest pace at 6:02 crossing 8th North before the light turned red.  Mile 5 was 7 seconds slower than mile 4.  Otherwise, the pace increased with each mile.  I'm not sure if that is effective training, but I like to do it that way.
