After three weeks with zero running, but a whole lot of work, stress and craziness, finally got on the roads again, inspired by a new friend named Heather, who I happen to be dating now (long, long, long story, which I do not want to recount here). Heather is in great shape and does something called a boot camp workout to stay that way. I figured I had to get off my keister and get back at it to stay with her. Took me a while to get loosened on my laps around MAFC (it was cooler today, but that's because it was thunderstorming), but that's not exactly a surprise. For the first run in 22 days, it went OK.

And I did some upper body work too. Need to work on that, need to work on glutes and hammies too, along with running. I think that will be my fitness goal for the next few months, to kinda reshape this body a bit.

I continue to be amazed that attractive women want to go out with me, but I'm learning to go with it -- and to give them the chance to say no. You do that, sometimes they say yes. Heather did, without hesitation.

Slow, easy fish up to SHS this morning. Temp was about 69 when I started, and it felt nice. Not quite as cool as Stockholm or London, but very nice, even with bright sun. Kept the pace 10:30ish and had no problems with that, especially after two miles when I got loose. We'll see if I feel up to going out to Chaffee tomorrow, but this one went well.
