Boston qualifier for 2011. Two-time Boston finisher. 19 marathons so far in 10 states, Canada, Germany, England and Sweden. Next up: London (4/25/17)
5K -- 21:57; 10K -- 45:54; 20K-- 1:42:39, Half -- 1:39:30. All subject to improvement. Maybe. Or maybe not. Personal: Physician assistant/hospitalist, divorced since December 2010, one child (son). Ran high school track, took 10 years off, ran a 15K on my 25th birthday, took off next 21 years. |

| Slow, hilly and cold, as in wind chill of 7 and temp of 19. Handled the cold OK. The hills, not so much. Stumbling with three miles left, even less. Must have strained my abs trying to regain control because they really hurt the rest of the way, slowing me down a lot. Got it done though. Need to get in a lot better shape in the next 104 days though.

| Took two days off for sleep deprivation and sore abs, finally got back out this afternoon. I was able to hold a faster pace but it was hard to do so. Wound up at sub-9 pace at the end.

| Bit of a tempo run this morning. Easy 2.5 out, pushed the pace coming back. Pushing the pace is a bit of a relative thing, but I was sub-9 for the last mile and low 9s for the 1.5 before that.
