Run happy and healthy all the days of my life. Be an example and inspiration to my family.

Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Ran easy with Karen and Wendy (hubby did 1st mile with us) west on Murdock Canal to road by Smith's.  Very strong NE wind.  Lower legs were stiff then got better once warmed up.

Played with baby Charlotte so her mom can play the piano accompanying Bryan for his lesson at HFAC; so no time to swim.

Evening Yoga.  Found out the instructor lives in the 30th ward!  :)

Karen and I went to our first ever cycling class.  The instructor showed us how to adjust the seat, handle bar and strap on the pedals/clips.  We did hills and sprints intervals.  It was a very fun and intense 60 min class.  We were sweating buckets.  I couldn't do sprinting off the seat very well and got a bruise on the left knee medially.

Then went downstairs to the pool.  I practiced same SSD as Monday's for 30 min.

3 hr lunch visit with my 86 yr old neighbor again! :)

Hubby and I ran to Karen's but she already left (1mi) so we ran to Wendy's/home via the "long" way (2mi).  While hubby went home, I picked up Wendy and ran east to her daughter's friend who needed help with dead car battery.  Then we ran further sw to get on rail trail then north to canal trail and back home.  Boy, was I sluggish today.

In the afternoon, we went to the LC to swim; but it was closed for Halloween Party.  Dang!

Only had time for a quick 5 miler because I needed to be at the church for Primary Sacrament Mtg. Presentation practice and pizza party.

Busy busy day getting ready for the Stake Book of Mormon Fireside (tomorrow night) and preparing/cooking/hosting dinner (9 courses) for members of our stake presidency and their wives (tonight).  :)
