Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Signed up for the Runners Series right when it became open at 8am.  I probably won't be running SGM next year but signed up anyway.  I wanna run the RS races with my friends.  Toby, Karen, Wendy, Carolyn, Mary all got in the RS.

Walked, jogged 3 with Wendy and Karen.  The usual post SGM quad tightness.  Going to loose the toe nail on the left big toe.

Easy 3 recovery miles with Karen and Wendy.   Had to hurry home as the sofits guys were coming.  Wish they would put in the rain gutter and drain.  Every time it rains, the existing gutter would spill gallons of water onto the broken concrete stairs and new addition's exterior wall.  I fear that it would flood my basement stairwell and into the basement.

Ran with Karen and Wendy.  My legs are feeling pretty good.  Would've run more if I didn't have to hurry home for the shutter guy appointment.

The tile guy came at 6pm and finished the job at 10pm.  He did a beautiful job.  I really like my new shower!

Rain, wind and remodeling stuff kept me home to run on the TM.

Yoga and core.

Vacuumed the sub-floor for the 3rd time while waited for the hardwood guy to show so didn't run with my friends.  The hardwood guy was over an hour late...GRRR...then he talked my ears off and by the time I left him to start the job, it was nearly noon...too late to run.  GRRRR!!!!!  But it's all good as I can see that he is very meticulous with his work.  He worked till 8pm.  The concrete guy was here to do prep work, digging up tree roots and grading the ground to put in curvy form for the concrete patio.  It's been raining and really cold the last few days.  Snowing in the mountains.

We left the hardwood guy home to work alone so we could go to the Marriott Center to attend the Homecoming Spectacular.  Bryan was the principal violist in the Philharmonic Orchestra that performed and played for most of the night's other performances.

It's been awhile since I was able to sleep in.  I can't believe I got SEVEN hours of sleep.  Was going to help hubby demolish the chicken coop but ran on the TM instead since it was raining and windy outside again!  Legs are pretty much recovered.

Went to the Utah vs Arizona State game.  Ate TOO MUCH at the Ubox...yummy turkey dinner with mashed potato, stuffing, rolls, salad and pumpkin pie.  Must've drank a gallon of hot chocolate, popcorn, peanuts and chips.

Then got home to change from red to blue on the way to the BYU vs San Jose State game.  Again ate TOO MUCH at the suite...Toscano...yum...

The hardwood guy worked all day today.  He will probably finish the job on Monday.  It is gonna be a nice floor for the exercise room! :)
