Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

So so so glad RAD organized a group run at the Lehi JRP! :)  I started my run 36 min earlier to get in 4 miles before everyone got there at 9am.  It was so good to see Cal, Kelli, Scott, TomSlick, Allie, RAD, Quiet Pirate, and met Chad for the first time.

Got to run with Kelli the whole way!!! :) :) :)  I just love running with her! :)  She has such great running form.  I have missed her soooo much!  It was warm (mid 30's), overcast, zero wind, no snow on the parkway!  Right knee complained a bit.  Had no fluid for the entire run.

RAD brought us hot chocolate, special donuts and oranges!  THANKS Rachel!

It sounds like a great run. If you can keep up with Kelli that long you are very fast. Even faster than I thought you were.

Merry Christmas, Smooth.

But now my feelings are hurt that I wasn't invited to the party yesterday.

Nancy ~ You know how NICE Kelli is!!! She runs slow for 'ole pokey me! I can never run HER pace. But thanks for saying I'm fast. It made my day! Hope you and your family had a FABULOUS Christmas! :)

Maurine ~ Dang! RAD was the one organizing it. I had no idea who was notified and who wasn't. As a matter of fact, we were talking about how it was at the Lehi JRP Halloween run couple years ago that we all met, you, Leslie, and a bunch of bloggers. It was one of the most memorable day ever. We will catch you next time! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

BTW, Glad you enjoyed your Christmas Eve run! :)

allie ~ glad you got your shopping done in time and had a beautiful Christmas run this morning! Hope you enjoyed your family the rest of the holidays! :)

Yikes, I missed it too. Fond memories of the hot chocolate and oranges last year. Next time.
