Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

SEVEN & HALF hours...the most sleep I've ever gotten!!!  YAY!!!  Ran the first 3 miles with Karen who had developed bad heel pain the week before Spanish Fork 1/2 & DNS.  We stopped at her house and talked then I finished off the run by myself with couple of mp miles.  7.25 in 1:08:50. (10:13, 10:13, 10:02, 9:49, 9:10, 8:50, 8:32, 7:45)

Something sad sad happened.  I saw one of my hawks...I think it's Charity based on the vicinity of where her dead body laid.  On the way back I picked up a feather.  Wonder if I should go back to bury her?!  :(

OH NO! Poor Charity. That is sad, but I'd be careful around her - you never know what kind of diseases she may be carrying. I'd probably call animal control and have them pick her up and take care of her. HOW SAD!!

Nice work on the miles Smooth, you are SO strong fast and Smooth!! My good friends the Robinsons moved into your stake just a few months ago. They said Ed served his mission with one of your sons. We were talking about what wonderful people you are!!

Rachel ~ What a small world! Did Ed serve in Fresno, Argentina or Brazil? We do have very nice people living in our Stake.

Animal control won't do anything about road kills. They won't even pick up trapped racoons or dead deer. It's up to the citizens to take care of it or the magpies would. Wish Steven was home, he would do it for me.

I'm honestly not sure...He and Janelle live in Rampton's ward and they are 25.

Crazy about Animal Control, I would think that would be a main part of their job.

Isn't it funny how attached we become to our running world - animals, certain streams, trees, etc. I wouldn't touch it either!

I'm sorry about Charity :(

I'm happy about your sleep hours :)
