Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

John and Wendy picked me up at 7am since the others bailed and there was no need to go at 6.  It was still dark illuminated by a waning semi-full moon.  We ran on the Lehi JRP from the old bridge northward.  The trail under the 2100 North bridge is newly paved with landscaping on the east side and fence on the west...very nice! :)  There's a portion of the trail eroded by the river and is not paved.  We veered right (east) at the wooden bridge to explore the dirt trail along the railroad and canal till it dead end at a gravel processing plant.  We saw a group of scouts camping by a pond.  We saw many deer along the way.  It was a beautiful Fall morning.  The only negative part was my legs were lead.   Felt better when my feet were back on pavement.  Hope the legs revive by Fri.  I think they have forgotten how to run on dirt trail. :)

Busy day attending a wedding and spending time with my family especially my daughter and grandbaby from Houston.  They are only here for the weekend. :(

Nice run. Wow, you attend a lot of weddings. I've only been to a few since we got married 19 years ago.

I'm sure your legs will recover by Friday. I wish I was running it with you.

I'm sorry I bailed - last minute too :( However, it looks like you ad a wonderful run. Will you show me the new diggs soon?

Dale ~ we get invited to a lot of weddings and sadly only able to attend a few. This one was a dear friend's (of 31 years) daughter. She and my daughter and another neighbor's little girl were babies when we moved to Lehi and became best friends. She is 32 and we are so happy for her. Thus my daughter flew home over the weekend to attend her wedding. We spent the entire day with them and the whole evening visiting with old friends that we haven't seen for a long time. When you get to be my age, you have lots of weddings to go to! :)

I wish you would come out to run or cheer us on Fri. Pacers and crews are welcomed.

Rachel ~ You're welcome to come out any time. How was your run with your sil? I missed you! :)

I'll try and make it out to cheer you on. I think we might be out of town that Friday through Sunday, visiting family, but I'm not completely sure at this time.
