Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Way to start your week off with a great workout! That mini tri makes me want to do something like that. Sooooo cool that you could do that for FHE!!!

Sounds like the perfect day!

From RAD on Tue, Nov 29, 2011 at 18:04:18 from 98.202.23.178

PERFECT day!! I love that you did the swim too. Noodle or no - you did it! Nice time on the 5K as well. Add a little Zuppas in at the end - yeah, perfect!

Oh, but I wouldn't take hubby to the cardio cinema too often. You might end up with one in your basement - or bedroom! :)

WAHOO!!!!!! You got in the pool!!!!! :) :) :)

I love you and am SO SO SO glad you came!!!! :) :) :)

From Smooth on Tue, Nov 29, 2011 at 23:21:12 from 174.27.205.151

runninginheels ~ thanks for the nicest comment!

Bec ~ you totally can do that. Is there a pool at your gym?

Scott ~ It was a perfect day! Hubs even put up my medals in our new addition right by the treadmill. :)

RAD ~ I didn't really SWIM! I dunno how! I just kicked and doggie paddle with the noodle under my belly. The real swimmers were probably trying not to laugh!

Larry was such a good sport to take me to the gym. He has a swollen sore ankle and can barely walk so the cardio cinema was PERFECT for him. He's never set foot in a gym before so that was kinda different.

Oh yah, he already had a huge TV wall bracket installed in the new addition/fitness room; just waiting for good deals for a big screen. Have I ever told you that we have 7 TVs in the house already? silly boy!

SSF ~ I got in the pool and DID NOT DROWN! :) :) :) I should forward Lowell's email to you in which he *counseled* me to learn how to swim to save another person's life! Ha! I've got to save my own first! :) :) :)

Love you too! :)

How is Karen's knee feeling? Tell her hi!

From Smooth on Tue, Nov 29, 2011 at 23:48:59 from 174.27.205.151

Hi Toby ~ her knee is finally feeling better. She ran 6 yesterday and 5 today and no knee pain but her other leg muscles were sore, good kind of sore! She's been diligent with her xtraining like you. I will tell her you say HI! We are going to water aerobics tomorrow! FUN!

From RAD on Tue, Nov 29, 2011 at 23:53:14 from 98.202.23.178

What is this?!? Swimming on Monday, water aerobics on Wednesday? Holy cow Smooth, you're turning into a fish! :) Oh, Tell Karen hi for me too.

From Smooth on Tue, Nov 29, 2011 at 23:58:53 from 174.27.205.151

RAD ~ :) :) :) NO, I DID NOT swim on Monday! Have you forgotten I don't know how to swim?!!! :) :) :)

YOU my dear, is the fish! :) :) :)

Oh, I am sure water aerobics is like kindergarten compare to Master Swim Class. :) Karen did assure me that I will not drown in water aerobics! :)
