Did my last 6 alloted miles for the week behind the neighborhood again.  Mildly fascinated by how they are building this new "master planned community."  First was the community center and pool, still under construction.  Then a few miles of roads (still unpaved..woohoo!) that wind through hills and trees, seemingly with no rhyme or reason.  The only evidence of houses so far are just the pipes and wires that stick up where the lots are going to be.  Saw a coyote today in addition to the usual deer and jackrabbits.  Too bad Sunday is the only day they are not working out there...it's pretty nice for running.

Master planned communities are my bread and butter with the new-ish job. So, technically I don't pave paradise and put up a parking lot anymore. It's more like I re-grade underutilized farm land and put up a housing development. At least, that's how I sleep at night.

are we talking about running or housing :) I feel you every time there is a paradise that you can run through they turn it into a bunch of wooden boxes called community. you might not see much of these deer and coyotes. solid 76 miles week sir

Tom - it's kinda neat - I'm guessing they really did their homework because they must've spent millions at this point having not put up a single house...just interesting how the 'burbs are created - never thought about it until now.

Yasir - yeah, I'm sure the wildlife is not happy. As for me, I could've never run back there unless they plowed through it anyway. The downside is that we liked the area because it was away from the hustle and bustle, but in a few years it won't be!

Sounds like you've found some good places to run. You're in incredible shape right now!
