AM:  68F, 97%.  22 @ 7:37 AP.  Day off yesterday after my wife and I stayed out way way way too late on Friday night.  It's ok, it had been a few weeks since my last full day off.

Trying to keep up the long runs this year, even with no races coming up anytime soon.  This one was a pretty humid run, which made it harder than it needs to be, but I figure it'll only get worse so might as well slog through it now while it's semi-runnable outside.

I think keeping long runs in your back pocket are super important but I've never really been able to do it. I get them in for marathons but when I am not in that mode I lose it. I started Jan-Feb with 3 20 milers and a 17 miler. Then went to several weeks of nothing over an hour but doubling. Sadly it doesn't equate.

Good pace for this one.

Great run and great pace. I bet it was kind of fun after a day off.

Good job, Joe. I can't do that. If I don't have a marathon coming up, I can find eleventy excuses to cut my run short. 22 just because? You're a wild man. 7:37 is pretty quick.

i'm trying to do the same thing -- weekly 20s. never done it before. i usually just do 3-4 LRs in a cycle and leave it alone the rest of the year. i'm interested to see if it makes a difference.

it was so humid yesterday, i got kicked out of an elevator for not having a buttsweat towel.

Jason - I kinda learned the same lesson.

Matt - the day off was nice although it was hangover recovery so I'm not sure it was as helpful as it could have been.

Tom - I knew about when I'd be wanting to quit so I made sure I was miles away from my car around that point.

Allie - yep same here on the LR's but 18/22 vs all 20s. Big faux pas on not bringing the buttsweat towel though. I'm sure you've been shamed enough so I won't add to it.
