80F, 70%.  8:08 AP.  Pretty warm for a September morning.

I weighed myself yesterday - 13 lbs heavier than before Boston.  Now I don't really give a crap what I look like, I'm naturally a little skinny anyway.  But as a runner, I need to lose some of that.  I think September will be all about longer, slower running/base building, with not much more than strides or hill sprints for workouts.  Trim the fat, and then it'll be time to really run with the cooler air in October.

I've been thinking the same thing. (Not about you, Fatty McButterpants.) I've been holding steady @ 8-10 lbs. over what I think is ideal race weight. I figured the pounds would just go away with ramping up the miles, but that is not happening as long as I keep eating my dinner, then finishing my kids' dinners, then chasing it all down with half a tray of brownies.

I used to only want to gain weight. Now that I run I want to loose weight...I'm so confused!

Tom - would you believe that less than 12 hours after I posted this, I had McDonalds for dinner? supersized, too.

IJR - just do both!

Run to eat. Keep the steak coming I say! Just skip the salad before. Honestly you will be peeling pounds off as miles go up.

Looks like a perfect plan Joe. Great way to avoid injury by getting your body back into the swing of things.

Maybe you should delay it a month so you can enjoy McDonald's for a little longer..

Solid plan - it worked for me over the summer.

I forgot to mention yesterday's McLunch - 2 McChickens, 1 McDouble, and 1 McLarge un-sweet McTea. $4.28.

And 100 mile weeks? Sweet! Although, I didn't see McChickens, McDoubles, Big Macs, Royale with Cheese(s), etc. anywhere in his food diary. If I'm going to McD's, I ain't getting the oatmeal, bro!

What a cool fundraising idea, by the way!
