52F, 6 @ 8:32 AP.  Achilles hurts.  Should have known the running gods wouldn't let me get away with something for nothing.  Well, I figure the hay is in the barn anyway after 1 successful workout in 3 months.  I was going to do a 5k tuneup this week, but instead I think I'll do nothing.  Nothing fits nicely into my schedule.

Nothing is the new something. I read about it in the 1994 version of "Ultras for Dummies". You'll be just fine (possibly).

Achilles still hurting? Years back mine was hurting and Jake K told me about eccentric heel drops. They are magic; I use this whenever the Achilles flares up. http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/rehabilitation-exercises/lower-leg-ankle-exercises/eccentric-heel-drop

Russ - thanks - I've still been running every morning, just need to do a FRB catch-up (probably tonight).

Thanks for the link - I've done the eccentric calf raises for Achilles in the past...but so far I've managed to just ignore them!

On the fence about the 5k - there's probably nothing worse than racing a 5k for this kinda thing, but I think it's getting better and I really enjoy beating all my fellow co-workers...

Take 3 Advil, be eccentric, and leave your co-workers in the dust!

Hope you're feeling better.
