16x400....Ouch! Have fun. Wish I were there to run about eight of them with you :-)

From Jason D on Tue, Jan 22, 2013 at 08:38:25 from 128.210.82.162

For a while I pretended my watch would only let me do 10 x 400 because of the 20 step limit rule. I figured out you just need to do it with the "Simple" option under "Workouts." I think I'll start with 12. 16 seems so daunting!

From SlowJoe on Tue, Jan 22, 2013 at 09:15:37 from 155.219.241.10

IJR - maybe you can do 8, and I can do 8, and we'll call it 16.

Jason - I've done 12 a couple times. painful. Definitely going to start on the slow end of 5k pace or I'll never make it.

From JG on Tue, Jan 22, 2013 at 09:26:54 from 174.49.78.66

I will do 2 if you & IJR want to just do 7 each! :)

Yikes - have fun with that one. Haven't done that many in a while - the lactate burn will be in full force. One way to do it is to break it up in set's of 5, 5, and 4, with a bit of an extended recovery in between sets. Or you can grind them out - the possibilities are limitless. :-))

From SlowJoe on Tue, Jan 22, 2013 at 13:03:42 from 155.219.241.10

Ah, that's a good idea, breaking them up. I'll see how I feel. I have barely hit 7:30 pace since the race, so 5:30s and 5:40s is going to be interesting.

sounds brutal--can't wait to read about it

Good luck tomorrow! Sounds like fun.. I think. You'll do great!
