Met the BBK group this morning at Bingham HS. We ran 3 easy miles through the neighborhoods then moved onto the track. I didn't join the group for the track workout but instead just kept running a nice easy pace around the track for an additional 3 miles. My splits were: 9:00, 9:02, 8:48, 8:56, 8:56 and 8:44, for an AP of 8:55. This run felt great. I love how I feel after getting up and working out in the morning. I have so much more energy for the rest of the day. I need to force myself to do it on mornings the BBK group doesn't meet, but I'm not really keen on the idea of running by myself in the dark or running on the treadmill. YEAH! I got into St. George, and it sounds like a good majority of the regular BBK'ers did too. I am very pleased to have another event to train for. My goal is to increase my weekly mileage so that I can feel more confident than I do for Ogden. |
