Meet some of the BBK down at the SJ Park. Again, I wanted to make it a fairly easy day so I didn't show up for the early miles. I had planed to do two of the 3 mile repeats but after the first one I decided I'd better not run the second one with the group as I am too competitive and Dean is a bad influence on me. My nice easy 3 miler turned out be 22:21. My splits were 8:03, 7:30 and 6:48. I then ran around the softball fields to cool down, adding an additional 1.13 miles (9:08, 1:09). I actually really enjoyed this run even though it was a little faster than I had wanted. My legs were a bit tired though. I'm getting rather nervous about Ogden. I have been given some great advice to start out slow and build. I hope I can do this. I seem to have a hard time regulating my pace. I like half marathons because I know what I am capable and can push pretty hard for 13 miles. I'm not sure how my body will respond to a full. Any advice would be appreciated. |
