The plan was to wake up before my meetings today and do my workout before the heat and humidity of the afternoon. Missed my alarm. Oops. So I had to wait until this afternoon. Total bummer. It wasn't crazy hot but even 72 degrees and 65% humidity is out of control for this Seattle boy.
The workout was a 4-mile tempo at 5:15 followed by a 2:00 rest and then one mile at 5:08. Let's just say I would take the high altitude of Denver over the humidity of the Midwest any day of the week. I was absolutely drenched and could not cool down at all. All of my miles were in 5:16-5:20. So not terrible but exhausting. The final mile was in 5:12. Missed badly but the effort was there. |
