JRP solo in Lehi. I would have liked to run with the FRB group, but I didn't want to get up at 5:00 so I showed up at 7:30. After 1.3 I ran into Smooth, Rad and Toby and said hi. I would have run back with them if it had been over 4 miles in. The run was a lot of fun. I just tried to keep the pace between 8:30 and 8:45.

After Willow park the trail is still closed, so I ran through the neighborhood and got back on. At 5.6 I took a gel and turned around. I stopped again at the park to fill up my water and then had a nice cruise back to the car where Rad and Smooth were hanging out, so we chatted for a few minutes (they are both so nice!) And Rad gave me some orange slices- Thanks!

PM update- weights at the gym for 40 minutes with my wife. We had a great workout. We worked our upper body/core.

It was great to see you this morning Scott! Next time I won't have to get up so early and we can all sleep in for a little while and run together.

Isn't that crazy that the water still so high? I thought for sure we would get through! Glad you had a good run, even though you could've had some good, slow company :)

Nice run....you should have got up early and ran with the ladies! I met Smooth last week at Bryce. She is fun!

Man, you are really ramping up! Some great runs this week with solid miles/vert. Super impressive. Noticed the Hoka on your shoe miles, what do you think?

Rad- Great seeing you guys! Yeah, I was shocked that the water was so high. Next time make it 6:30 :)

Steam- Next time :) I ran through a cow pasture that I really liked. I know you love cows. Ha. Love that trail. :)

Bryce- The Hokas are really comfy and soft and seem excellent on the road and easy trail, but I did have a few issues on the steep rocky terrain. They are not as stable as the Cascadias, but I can definitely see how they would be sweet on the backside of a 100.
