I went to the gym after the kids were in bed. I spent 30 minutes lifting (biceps, triceps, chest, lats). I was pretty worked after 30 minutes, so I decided to run a few miles on the track. I didn't have a lot of time, so I had to run fast to get in two. First mile was 6:55 and the second was 7:10. I was so tired after, and don't know how some of you keep up a pace like that for several miles. It just shows me how far I have to go if I ever want to be a fast runner.

Walter says you went to Hillcrest????

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Feb 03, 2010 at 01:57:35 from 75.162.72.176

Hi Kelli. Yes, I did. Graduated in 90. Did you go to HHS? What year did you graduate?

From Kelli on Wed, Feb 03, 2010 at 17:50:59 from 71.219.89.82

I did indeed. I graduated in 92, I am so YOUNG! My husband graduated in 91, Scott Stephenson. He lived in Midvale (which is where Walter said you lived), maybe you knew him??? If you did, just know that I have tamed him and he is now a very good boy.

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Feb 03, 2010 at 18:39:19 from 66.239.250.209

Are you serious? Yes, I know Scott. He was in my ward growing up. We used to play basketball together. I ran into him a few months ago, but he wouldn't know it. When I ran my first marathon in Provo Canyon on Sep 12th I passed him coming up the canyon I think. My friend that I was running with (Amy Montgomery) also from Hillcrest, said hi to him and then asked if I remembered him. He was long gone by then. Tell him I said hi.

We probably know a lot of the same people then. :) What is your maiden name?

From Kelli on Wed, Feb 03, 2010 at 19:54:31 from 71.219.89.82

Okay, I just had to go back to my blog to see what Scott and I were running on September 12th. And, yes, we were indeed running up the canyon. I remember all of you runners coming down now (but it was a pretty small marathon, thank goodness or we would have been run over). So, I am sure you saw him, he cruised that day!!

I am always a little nervous when people knew my husband BEFORE, he was a wild child to say the least. But he met me, and that was all she wrote for that! Okay, I guess it took a few years, but he did mellow out!!! Kids and responsibility did it more than a wife.

My maiden name was Liddle. I had a brother that graduated in 90 (Kendal), but no one ever knows who he was. I can relate, I never know anyone either. I was a dork, very serious about school, and just melted into the crowd.

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Feb 04, 2010 at 02:50:45 from 75.162.72.176

Ok, so I know Kendal too :) We had classes together, and he was rommates with my best friend, Rob Mouritsen at BYU. I used to hang out down there once in a while :) I also heard that Kendal married Emilee Quick who I dated a loooooooong time ago. Ha! Small world.

I was probably more wild than your husband... or at least on par with him, so no worries there :)

From Kelli on Thu, Feb 04, 2010 at 09:49:54 from 71.219.89.82

Yes, indeed, my brother did marry Emalee Quick about 11 years ago. That is a whole story in and of itself, but I would have to send you a LONG PM about that one. My brother and I never really talked while he was in college, i think I have heard the name Rob Mourtinson, but I dunno. I visited my brother once at BYU. His house was a mess and it made me sick, so I never went back!!! ;o)

More wild than my husband, huh??? That is pretty wild! Well, you will be glad to know he is now a boring High Priest who sleeps through church.

Small world! I asked Scott about that run up Provo Canyon and he does remember seeing Amy, but did not notice her being with anyone. He said he would have recognized you if you had said hi. He remembers everyone, I remember no one. He says he has seen Amy at a few races, I do not know who she is, though. Like I said, I was a "wallflower."

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Feb 04, 2010 at 14:33:17 from 66.239.250.209

Do you remember the band Banlecoixe from Hillcrest that played a few assemblies? Rob was the lead singer. He grew up a few houses away from Emalee and still lives in that house. He bought it from his parents.

I think I met Emalee at the Erasure concert in 88 or 87. I was only 15 at the time. WOW, could she really only have been 13?? Ha. Anyway, that was so long ago.

I'm not sure if I was as wild as Scott because I don't know how wild he was... ha. I also got married, had kids and settled down, so I understand. I also sleep through church when I go. Ha.

I didn't even recognize Scott in Provo Canyon, but I really wasn't looking. I was already past him when Amy told me who it was she said hi too. Yes, small world indeed.

From Kelli on Thu, Feb 04, 2010 at 17:19:56 from 71.219.89.82

Sleeping through church is a gift that all men have, while their wives wrestle the children. ;0)

Like I said, I did not really pay attention in HS, so I do not remember any band. I think I skipped all of the assemblies and studied in the library or something. I will have to ask Kendal about that on Sunday if they show up.

Scott is hard to recognize when running past him, with the bald head and all. Amy has just seen him a few times at races so she knew what to look for. A lot of people do not recognize him without his hair. And I give him a hard time, but he really was not all that bad, just compared to his sweet, innocent wife.

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Feb 04, 2010 at 17:55:17 from 66.239.250.209

Your last sentence made me laugh. :) I didn't evenknow he was bald. Now I know what to look for.

Well, we're old, so I wouldn't expect you to remember a whole lot from back then. :)

From baldnspicy on Thu, Feb 04, 2010 at 18:05:55 from 72.95.175.57

Don't be dissin' on the baldies! (Yes, I have a sixth sense for baldie dissin!)

Nice workout, Scott!

Um, wait, YOU are old. I am not.

From Scott Wesemann on Fri, Feb 05, 2010 at 11:16:06 from 66.239.250.209

Bald- haha. Thanks.

Kelli- Yeah, I am pretty old. :) BUT... you're right behind me ;-)
