Warm up on the elliptical and then did 3.7 on the TM. I just wanted to stretch my legs and work out some slight soreness and it helped.

That's great that it helped. Usually if I have slight soreness rest is the only thing that helps.

After a hard day (or weekend), in the beginning of a recovery run I feel sore, but loosen up through the run. My body thanks me for it later...

For me any workout I do will loosen up my sore/tight muscles. Even weight lifting (upper body) will make my legs less sore.

Neat thing about weightlifting also...you increae your body's natural HGH levels, which actually helps in recovery!
