Solo Mt. Wire.
I started at 6:00 am. There was a cold wind and I started running from the start. After a few minutes I passed two girls that had started before me. I wanted to push the pace where I could and I ran just about everything that is not really steep. I only stopped a few times to pee and shoot snot rockets and I made it to the top in 43 minutes. Not my fastest time, but 6 minutes better than my effort on Tues. I was also much faster running down because my feet are finally feeling much better. I still have one toe that is slightly numb, but I hear that is normal after running a 100, so no worries.

Lunch run up Wire. My legs were feeling so good that I wanted to get back out, so I did another run up Wire. 44 min up. It was very hot and I thought my lunch was going to make a guest starring appearance about half way up, so I wasn't as fast as I wanted to be. I spent about 2 seconds on top. No shirt and perfect weather. 1:15 RT. |
