I went to the gym to lift this morning, and things were crazy over there because of the TRI going on. It was really fun to watch all of the racers (didn't see you Missy). I watched for a few minutes before and after my workout and it really made me want to do one someday. I guess I better learn how to swim more than a 50 yards without dying first.

I lifted for 45 minutes (upper body) and everything feels really good. My legs actually feel great and I only have mild soreness in them, although my right ITB is sore when I go down stairs, so I know I better not push anything for a few more days. I really want to get outside and do something, but I will hold off.

There are some great Yoga stretches for the IT band!!!

Can you send me a link to some good ones? What do you recommend? I really need to stretch my ITB. Thanks!

Anything that opens the hips, pigeon is my favorite---the longer you can hold it, the better. I just keep adjusting the stretch to get the most out of it. I can not lean forward as far as this guy, but just go until you feel the stretch.

I cried on my pillow because I didn't see you there!?! It was funny tho, I was starting at this one guy for a long time thinking it might be you..I think he was offended cuz he gave me a mean look..haha...But then, he had sunglasses on so Who knows how he was really looking at me..He could have had really happy eyes. :P

I thought of you this afternoon...I went and lifted at the gym..and I remembered how you said I could lift with you pre-race..haha...

Hey Do you have a foam roller..use that baby on your IT band as well as what Kelli said. :D

This guy didn't really show any holding..but when find a tender spot..hold and relax for 30 seconds..

Missy/Kelli- Thanks for the stretches. I will try them out tonight. My ITB is feeling much better. I need one of those foam roller thingies.

Missy- I must have just missed you. When I got there the runners hadn't come in yet, and on my way out they were coming in and I watched for a few minutes. Everyone else looked cold too. :)
