I wanted to do a little more heat training, so I went out just before 4:00 pm and the temp was 98 degrees. The first mile was a little sluggish, but I got into a good groove and ran the Alpine hwy 3 miles out and then back. The last two I felt really good and pushed the pace.

Every mile this week had hills, heat or both. Now I'll kind of taper things off until Wasatch.

Heat and hills? Two words from hell.

Enjoy some rest, you are gonna need it!

I am completely stressed about helping my sister in law, I was not thinking about how I am essentially giving up two days of my life (plus Thursday for some meeting I now have to go to!) I am not sure how Scott will get everything done on Saturday without me....we have too many kids in sports. He might kill me.

You've put in some great training and you're definitely ready to tackle the beast. Enjoy the taper and keep those legs fresh.

I hope I'm ready.

Kelli- It is crazy. I'm sure you will love it though. That made me think about my own kids. I have no idea what I am going to do with them. Haha. I better work on that.

Send them to my house, they can all be neglected together!
