I love Sunday morning runs. There are very few cars and people out there in Utah County, so it is very relaxing. This run wasn't all that relaxing though because I took my dog Shyla with me. She needs the exercise and it is good getting her out.

Shyla was so excited to go that she started pulling me right away at a nice 6:30 pace. This was a lot faster than I wanted, so after about 1/4 of a mile I had to pull her back to a comfortable 8:00 pace. She did pull me around quite a bit during the first two miles, but eventually we settled into a nice rhythm.

At two miles I turned around because Shyla was getting tired and I just wanted something pretty easy. Other than Shyla almost eating a Boston Terrier that tried to jump on her, the run back was pretty uneventful. The last mile she was really tired and we slowed down a lot. It was a really fun run and an excellent way to start the day.

I don't know how people run with dogs on a leash. It would drive me crazy. Good job getting some miles in though.

I like that you joined the sunday sinner club. But let's face it, when your going to sit through church with some not so well behaved kids, isn't a good morning run beforehand the best patience medicine? Of course!

Jun- I don't recommend it. It is actually easier running with her on the trails for some reason.

Lily- I love the Sunday sinner club. Yeah, I agree, I think you should actually get to count miles for having to wrestle kids during church. It is easily more work than a 4 mile run.

Speedy dog!!!! Wow.

I'm not judging you.

From jun on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 15:46:11 from 66.239.250.209

I judge you all the time Scott. You're ugly and you smell funny. Wait, what were we talking about?

From Kelli on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 16:17:50 from 71.219.93.114

He is ugly? Dang, that is a sin!

I do not know what you guys feed your kids, but my 5 children are absolute saints during church. They do not open their mouths and they never move.

I do not dare to run on Sunday, I am afraid of lightening.

From Scott Wesemann on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 16:59:22 from 66.239.250.209

kelli- She sure was fast at the start. Kind of a wimp at the end though.

Thanks Brut

Jun- You have definitely seen me at my worst RE ugly and stinky.

From Scott Wesemann on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 17:06:45 from 66.239.250.209

Kelli- HA! For the record: I have been testing the playing on Sunday thing for years now, and everything seems to be just fine. Then again, I do enjoy the Great and Spacious Building waaaaay too much.

Dogs are much like teenagers that way.

From Kelli on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 19:04:59 from 71.219.93.114

Oh, and watch out for that bolt----I hope you can run fast.

Kelli- HAHA! I have you an extra Ha this time. I'm one year away from teenagers, so good to know ;)

Teenagers suck, really.
