Climbed the north peak of Timpanogos via the Cold Fusion couloir. What an amazing route this was. The approach was 5 miles and then the chute was 3,000 verticle feet straight up on consolidated snow and it took about 3 hours to get to the summit. The views from the top were outstanding. We had a nice glissade down, although it was a little scary. It was hard to keep the slide controlled because it was so steep, but nothing too dangerous. Total elevation gain for the day was 4,800 ft.What a day!

My friend just added a trip report for the hike:

That is totally awesome. I'm sorry I missed it. We'll get out next time. Thinking about Devil's Castle next week before work. The approach should be better now. Thoughts?

Do you have any idear when the dirt road opens? It might be worth it to wait if it is close, but the conditions are so good right now. I'll know more after this weekend.
