9 on the track at the gym. I hate when my boss comes into town. Typically it is 2-3 days of early morning and evening meetings packed with high calorie meals and today was no different. This means I usually end up running at the gym late in the evening and most of the time while sporting a gutbomb. I hit the gym two hours after a 12" meatball sub from Moochies. While the sub was quite tasty it came back to haunt me big time on my run as it sloshed round my innards repeatedly and felt like I was running with a bowling ball in my gut. I did have some good music on the ipod and at times things felt great, but I did battle the sub most of the time which made for some long uncomfortable miles. I kept telling myself this was good practice for the Buffalo Run because I would have to run while eating at the aid stations, but I'm quite sure I won't be eating 12 inches of meatball out there.

Speaking of the Buffalo Run, check out the most recent Refuse2quit blog post about Buffalo race prep here:

Good job getting it done even in the less-than-ideal circumstances. For me that would've been good prep for learning how to hurl on the run. You've got one tough gut.

Ugh, meatball sub? Yikes. GI training day.

And 12 inches to boot. Eeeeyikes!
