Personal:

I am married to Nathan Long and have two cute boys. I enjoy being a mom but running keeps me sane.=) Running is my passion and always will be. I was asked by a friend what I was training for and I said to be skinny. She looked at me (as we just finished 3 hard one mile repeats after I just got done having two crowns put in) and said, "No one trains that hard to be skinny." I said, "I do." To me working out is fun! I love pushing my body to new limits. I think if I had to do just mileage I would go crazy!

So because I have been down in the dumps I turned to the site to see what workouts everyone has been doing as something new to try and I want to thank Kassi Harmon for posting this workout. It was fun! 3 mile warmup every thing was done at a 1% grade. 3x1 mile at 5:30 with 2:30 rest, 2x3 mins at 5:27 pace with 90 sec rest, 5x400m starting at 11.1 and increasing to 11.5mph with 1 min rest. 3 mile cool down.

9 miles on treadmill. Did not want to run. Ran half got off walked around and was able to talk myself into finishing it. I don' know whats wrong with me but I can't get myself motivated to run! The very thought of running is very depressing! I first I honestly thought I was pregnant with an IUD but luckily no. Any advice? Should I just run shorter amounts? Has anyone gone through this?

I went at 5:15 with Amy and let's say was probably the worst I have ever felt. On a sunnier side not terriable times. 5:38, 6:05-not encouraging, 5:50, 5:49, 2:50. Stomach was so upset I couldn't finish last half mile and I had to do the whole walk run back. Amy was nice and cooled down on a hilly course faster to get the car. Sorry Amy!
