2 miles (out and back) then strides and drills for warmup for the 3200.

Splits were 79.09, 2:41.57 (82.48), 4:06.48 (84.91), 5:31.61 (85.12), 6:56.77 (85.17), 8:22.33 (85.56), 9:46.89 (84.56), 11:08.34 (81.45).

Summary of the race: I got out okay, trying to relax. Then my plan was to make sure I went with the front pack, wherever that may be. At one point I was behind a girl who was fading and saw the front pack pulling away, so I surged up to make sure I stayed with. Then just tried to stay relaxed and keep it moving. Then people slowly started to fade and I wasn't really paying attention to that cause I was so focused but eventually realized I was in 4th place. Kate, Britney and Maddie were all right there just barely in front of me with 800 left. I got an adrenaline rush and almost made a stupid move, almost surged to take control but I told myself to relax and stay excited enough to have a kick. Yeah well my burst of energy faded by 400 left when everyone started to kick. I tried to go with, but struggled to get myself going. 300 left I started to pick it up a bit but not a lot, by then Mary and another girl had passed me. 200 left I tried to pick it up a little more not so sure I did but it made me continue at that speed, then 100 left I said I'm not gonna be outkicked and not get a medal so I really tried to kick. Luckily I had a gap on the 7th place girl.

I'm really happy with it, 15 second PR at elevation and Bill said it would've been faster than my Arcadia time at sea level. And I medaled!

Cooled down 1.5 with Garek and Bill doing grass laps and then 4 miles with Garek, Bill and Connor Baller.

Took a nap then warmup for the 800, 2 miles doing grass laps. Then like .5 of strides. I did a lot.

My first lap sucked. I didn't get out fast enough then trapped myself on the rail. Then I didn't move when I should have. Splits were 73, 72 plus the decimals to be 2:26. My legs were dead and I couldn't get myself moving but honestly I really only cared about the 3200. It was alright. I ran in lane 2 for a lot of it.

Cool down consisted of the .25 to the car and a lot of chocolate milk :)

Stoked because I got invited to Great Southwest, medaled and PR'd all in the same day!

Shout out to Garek for getting 3 medals! He never ceases to amaze me. I'm really gonna miss being his teammate cause he's an amazing guy.

Huge thank you to Bill, he's the best coach and I couldn't have done it without him.
