2 mile shakeout in the morning to loosen/wake up. Yay for 4.5 hours of sleep :) 2 miles warmup before the mile. Should have done a few more strides but oh well. They went out faster than I was really ready for, I was back of the pack thinking oh crap I need to get moving. Came through at like a 72-73? 800 was 2:30ish. Felt fast and my legs felt like lead. Then I fell off the pack I wish I had stuck on for longer. The last lap was hard cause I wanted to kick but I was all alone except for one girl who had a good gap on me. But I told myself I needed to so I tried, last 100 I almost caught that girl :) finished with 5:12 so for the 1600 that's around a 5:10? It was okay for having tired legs from yesterday. I suppose its a PR but then its at sea level so... idk. Would have liked it to be faster but it was a good race and I'm glad I did it. Cooled down 2 miles. |
