Warmed up 1.5 with Tresa at the Tiger invite. She broke 6:00! But got DQd because of a lane violation :(

Warmed up 1.75 at Arcadia.

Was on the third waterfall, when I cut in I was in lanes 2/3 for a bit. When I saw a chance I cut in to lane 1 but that wasn't for a little while. First lap felt fast and was scared it was too fast but I thought oh well I'm just gonna stick with the pack. It was a 76. My plan to stick with the pack worked great, got into a rhythm and made moves up when people went out to lane 2 to pass so I maintained my spot in lane 1 for a while. Acouple times I saw the pack start to split up so I moved to the front to try to make sure I went with the faster group. At least three people cut me off, it's funny cause we literally just talked about that before like how you can get DQ'd if you make someone alter their stride. But no one did get DQ'd I don't think. Anyway my splits went 76, 82, 83, 83, 83 then Bill got excited so he forgot to get the rest but 3000 was around 10:22 so I closed in 41. The only thing I would have changed is kicking harder and not doubting myself like I did with 200 left. And maybe thrown a few more surges. I raced really smart and did really well, PRd by 12 seconds I was really disappointed at first because I didn't break 11 but then I realized I should be happy with it so I am. Cooled down 4 miles.
