Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

6 miles easy. I woke up with the beginning stages of a cold this morning. Terrible timing but I am not overly surprised as both my niece & nephew that I babysit every Tuesday have been really sick. It is so hard not to catch things with kids. I am trying to stay calm and focusing on staying hydrated and getting plenty of calories. I did feel better after the run and stopped and picked up some gatorade and cold-ease on my way into work. I've been sick a few times this winter and able to fight it pretty well so hopefully I can kick this quick!

Nicely done Rachelle! You are such a great auntie for helping out with your nieces/nephews. I'm sure their parents appreciate it so much! Hope you get to bed early tonight to help fight off the bugs!

Ditto on airborne along with the cold-eaze! I hope it clears up quickly or at least stays above your neck. You crushed Boston in less than ideal conditions. You run well with challenges. :)

Figures... Hope you recover quick so you can run quick. (Who's kiddin who, we all know you're gonna do just that.)

And I agree with Jackie, you definitely run well in challenging conditions! (I swear definitely is on my list of most challenging words to spell!)

Timing... Ugh. Just do what you can. You're a fighter.

Emergen-C, airborne, cold ease... you'll stay ahead of it.

From Rachelle on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 15:50:26 from 199.190.170.31

Thanks so much for the support everyone and for the tip about the airborne! Your kind words of support and ecouragement mean a lot to me. I am just going to control what I can control and not worry about what is outside of my control. :)

Angie - The race is Sunday!

Rachelle, I am getting the same thing!!! vitamin C and zinc - gets lots on board! You will overcome this!!!!

From Matt Schreiber on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 21:26:28 from 66.17.102.185

You'll be good Rachelle! You don't sound like you're too worried. :) I also eat airborne like it's candy.

From Cam on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 21:50:18 from 66.91.192.184

Good luck Chelle, the cold is the last hurdle to jump or smash through!
