Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

Such a nice morning, I am really digging this weather!

Warmed up 3 miles and then did 11 x 1 minute on/off.  I felt really good and running faster felt good.  Today was one of those workouts where I had to pull the plug on myself because as Jake would say "The hay is already in the barn".  No need to push too hard in these final workouts.  Jogged home 2 miles.  Overall pace for the 8 miles was 7:28.

Since my always faithful JulieC bailed on me I am looking for someone to run the last 6-8 miles of UV marathon with me???  I will repay you with icecream, cookies, cake, whatever you want!  Okay who am I kidding all of the food in the world would not be worth the agony of dealing with me for over an hour.  Any takers??

PM:  went to the gym to lift.  30 minutes upper body weights.  1.5 mi cooldown on the treadmill.

Good call on the workout - you just want to stay in as much of a normal routine as possible, keep your legs from going stale, and get fully rested and healthy. No point in forcing anything at this point - just be super-duper-ultra confident in yourself, you are ready!!!

Agreed. Nice job in the workout. 7:28 for 8 miles is fast!

I really want to run you in. I will come run the last 1 mile with you assuming you are running a 3:10 or better and Kim is at 3:00. I think however she is not trying for 3:00. I am so bummed there aren't TWO of ME!!! Two good things happening at once. Why don't you just run the marathon with Kim???

From Rachelle on Thu, May 31, 2012 at 10:58:43 from 159.212.71.200

I am bummed there aren't TWO of you too! I am totally being sarcastic though I am not really mad at all. haha!

btw if I tried to keep up with Kim I would beat you to the finish line because I would be picked up by the medical van! I cannot run her pace for even 1 mile let alone 26.2!!

Ill probably be at the UVM. My aunt is running. Ill watch for you. My Race is July 7th. I'm digging this weather too !

I'm doing the half, but I'm pacing a friend a 1:45, then going back to run my sister in (she should be 2:30ish). So, if you were still out there after that - I don't know when the 1/2 v full starts - I would come get you :) hahaha! A)like I'd have any legs left and B) I couldn't keep up with you anyway!!!

Some possibility exists that I will be running the last 6-8 miles with you, Rachelle. Then again, you might be running the last 6-8 miles with me, based on your speedy training. Did you know your 1/2 pr is 7 minutes faster than mine?
