Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

So hard to wake up this morning.  I really hate daylight savings.  Pushups & planks first and then 9 tired miles on the treadmill.  Pace was around 8.

PM:  2.3 miles with the pup.  I guess Izzy is not used to the warm weather because she got over heated and we had to slow down.  Pace was 8:34.

I'm hearing you on the tired thing, but I can't fully blame DST :)

Nice work this morning! TM miles are the hardest when you are tired - they seem 10X longer.

Soooooo tired. You seemed a little peppy to me though! :)

I finally lost my hour of sleep when I got back to Utah last night.

Getting excited about the 1/2 this weekend?

I was thinking of coming down and running it as a MP tempo, but I don't know if I'll be able to control myself, so I might just sleep in (to practice the 10am Boston start :-) I don't know, we'll see over the next couple days. Depends on how much sleep I can rack up.

Jake - you should totally come do the half. It would be a nice flashback to the tornado 15k you ran in SLC. They are projected 23-30mph winds.

I have decided that considering the weather and crazy elevation gain of the race I am going to use it as a MP tempo run. I actually thought about this awhile back but the closer it gets the smarter this seems. A nice warmup and cooldown with 13 tempo pace miles. What do you think?

I think that's a fine plan, especially if it ends up being a windy day. From the course map it looks like the last 3 miles are the fastest part of the course, so you could approach it with the plan of going 10 @ MP and then trying do dip under MP for the last 5K.
