Holy Nyquil hangover. I couldn't sleep last night because I was so congested so I got up and took nyquil way too late. I woke up in a complete fog but managed to drag my halfway dead body to the gym.
25 minutes weights. worked shoulders and did my 100 pushups.
8 miles running. training plan called for 10 x 1 minute hill climbs. I knew I would struggle with this workout considering my lack of energy but I still wanted to do it even if I had to go slower than planned.
I warmed up for 10 minutes at 8:06 pace and then went into the workout. Bumped the incline up to 5% for 1 minute and increased the speed to 7:53 pace, recovery was at 1% and same pace. This was hard but I got through it.
Ran for 34 minutes at 8 minute pace. overall time was 1:03:30 so average pace was around 7:56 for the entire workout. Not too bad considering 3/4 of my brain felt completely numb. I think I am finally feeling better from this cold. No more nyquil for me!! |
