I think its soo much harder to do on the TM. It's mostly mental, I think because the dang screen is right in front of you (so I cover mine) and you just stay put so its hard to get motivated! Anyways. Good job!! :)

TM is always harder than the road. I'm glad you are feeling better!

You're doing well. Just keep it up.

Just read you ran with Pam. Awesome. I really like her :)

Seriously the treadmill SUCKS!! Way to get it done!!

SW on the TM, gotta love it!! It is great for people with AD disorder, like myself!! but you were not doing speed so therein lies the problem. I was totally bored for 8 miles. Melanie can read the Ensign and pull of 6:20 pace for 12 miles!! not kidding!! I can't read on the TM. And certainly not while going fast-- MY MILL WAS shaking ferociously today!! HEY AWESOME CORE stuff. I haven't done core in several months-- man is getting that part of me going gonna hurt. I need some tips!!!

From Rachelle on Mon, Oct 22, 2012 at 13:54:28 from 159.212.71.199

Kira - yes it is all mental and after going so long w/o the mill it's hard to transition back to it. Very glad to have it though...these cold/dark mornings scare me.

Kam - Thanks! My IT-band bothers me after 30-40 min of running. But I am doing so much better.

Lily - Pam is seriously the best. She is running Boston and I am so excited for her.

Carina - we need to run together sometime soon. I can only handle like 3 treadmill days a week at the most.

Julie - planks!! They are the greatest core workout ever. Are you banditting the halloween half or are you registered? There is no way I am paying what they are asking for that race.

Nice workout Rachelle! I always seem to talk too much at the gym too, dang it! Oh, and DO NOT pay for the Halloween Half, seriously...not worth it! Maybe Walter will end up needing another pacer or two?

Satans sidewalk. :) That one made me laugh.

From JulieC on Mon, Oct 22, 2012 at 16:06:06 from 207.108.176.233

problem with planks for me last summer was they irritated greatly my plantar fascitis!! I need to do core that doesn't have me hold my legs way stretched back like they are in planks as they also irritate my achilles. Love planks otherwise-- as once upon a time Allie and I had a plank show down!! 5 minutes!! eeeeks, don't want to redo that one again!!! okay--- so are you asking me if I am dressing up like a bandit for halloween??? YES. I am. I have a ride so not using the buses. I drove people up to the top (including you) last year and two years before that. I have only run it once (2010). The years I drove I ran from the bottom up to meet people and "run" them in. :D.

Your treadmill fun sounds a bit like mine. Not enjoying it!
