Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

Elk Ridge uphill loop with Jen.  Hard route, easy pace.

I somehow got talked into running the Zion trail Ragnar Relay so I've got about 6 weeks to turn myself into a trail runner.  Any advice and suggestions are welcome. :)  Or replacement nominees?  It should actually be a lot of fun but seriously I'm clumsy and would be lying if I didn't admit it kind of scares me.

I got asked just yesturday to do that race. It does sound way fun. I think the only way I am going to keep doing this running thing lately is it has to be or sound fun.

I don't love trails, given I haven't given them much chance. That's my long way of saying i don't have any suggestions :)

Trail racing is just like regular racing except a lot slower :-)

That's a beautiful area up on the east rim of the park. Great time of the year to be down there as well.

I don't think most of the trails in that section are technical. You'll be fine!

What Jake said! If it's not a very technical trail it shouldn't be too bad. On technical trails, the question is, will you even make it to the finish line without twisting an ankle or breaking something when you take a fall(and you will take a fall or two!)

Angie - I could not agree more about keeping running fun. That is why I do races like this. No pressure just fun! Plus my team is crazy and hilarious so that always helps.

Carina - I haven't ever really ran on a trail in my life unless you count the time that I did the Florida Keys Ragnar and got stuck with the gator trail. Luckily it was at night and I was so scared I was going to get eaten by an alligator I didn't even realize it was a trail.

Jake & April - thanks for your confidence in me! :)
