Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

i was doing that earlier this year because i was having trouble with tightness and pain at the beginning of my runs. i also put my legs up against a wall and slowly brought my head/neck up to stretch out my hamstrings. it's amazing how much it helped, and after doing it consistently for a couple of weeks, whatever tightness that was bothering me completely disappeared.

good run today -- nice and easy. i'm a fan of that. :)

...and just to be more clear, i was doing this to help a tight hamstring, tight calves, and sore shins. it all seemed to be connected, and loosening up my hamstrings and calves made the shin pain go away.

I even used the stick on my calves and hamstrings this morning before running and did a single digit run. We are all being smart! Horray for us!!

Yes Allie I definitely agree that it is all connected. I normally roll out of bed and onto the road still asleep...but there may actually be a benefit to waking up and foam rolling before I run. It definitely woke me up! :)

Jake- it is amazing that I am still alive after spending 5 min to roll out my legs instead of running 8.5 miles. Who would have thought? haha!

smart woman! Those other 2 peeps that commented are pretty smart themselves :) SO...guess who DIDN'T roll out their calves to help their PF this morning? yup...the dumb one in the crowd.
