AM #1:  First workout post Boston.  I totally psyched myself out and was really nervous for this workout for some reason.  I guess 10+ days of running slow will do that to you.  I have decided that about 90% of my running issues or self doubt are mental because physically I am in better shape than I have ever been.  Anyway the workout went really well.  I warmed up for 2 miles and then did a 3 mile tempo 7:03, 6:50, 6:41.  1 mile rest and then 1 mile at 5K pace 6:19.  2.5 mile cooldown.  I felt pretty good and was not planning to run the tempo portion quite that quick but it felt fluid so I just went with it.

AM #2:  Me and my sister won free entries to the Color Me RAD 5k held at UVU.  I did not wear a garmin but it definitely did not feel like a full 5k.  Anyway we went really slow, maybe 10+ minute miles and had a ton of fun!  I will have to post pictures we were totally covered.

AM #3:  Chasing my 4 neices and nephews that are all 2 years old around all day.  Seriously how do you people with kids do it?  I think I will be asleep by 6pm tonight. :)

Jeez 3 morning workouts but no PM workouts? SLACKER!! :-)

Great workout - I think that was a really smart move to do the tempo first and then the fast mile. Great splits on the tempo, and awesome finish on the fast mile. Really awesome running today!

Sub-20 is going down soon!

So you feel pretty good post-marathon? No more fatigue or residual soreness?

From Rachelle on Sat, Apr 28, 2012 at 18:42:47 from 66.7.127.115

Jake - I almost had to inject myself with an IV of diet coke just to drive home. And I thought the #1 workout would be the hardest part of my day? haha

Andrea - no physical soreness at all. I was actually pretty shocked with how natural moving my legs fast felt. I was expecting it to be a lot harder. I still feel like my energy is lower than normal but it could just be from chasing my brothers triplets around all day! And yes sub-20 must happen!!

Fantastic workout! You better do that 5k next week!

You burned a lot of calories today.

Way to go!

I have 4 kids. The two youngest are older than two, but they make me work just as hard like I was watching after four! I am a dead zombie by 7 pm every night! :)

Very smart running today. I think you're right about that 90% mental thing.
