Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

9.5 treadmill miles.  I am not really training for anything right now but running slow on the treadmill is ridiculously mind numbingly boring so I decided to do 12 x 400 just for fun.  Why not?

3 mile warmup - 8:12 pace

12 x 400 on/off style with equal recovery.  first 4 with 1% incline, next 4 .5% incline, and last 4 0% incline.  On's @ 6:10-5:49 (9.9-10.3) pace and off's @ 8:27 (7.1-7.3).

9.5 mi in 71 minutes, 7:28 AP.

PM:  4 miles outside easy.  Does anyone down south want to run with me tomorrow morning?  I cannot fathom the thought of another day on the treadmill!

Nice job!

YES very wonderful!! I hear ya on the incline-- I was so very tempted to take that incline down to 0. It would have saved me in a lot of ways!! YOU did the right thing. It helps your form to be flat. Hey our workouts look similar nonetheless except you added an additional 30 seconds of fast each repeat!! YIKES!!!! btw I think you should switch to the HALF TODAY!! so you can't go back and forth until then!!!

From JulieC on Thu, Nov 29, 2012 at 09:37:54 from 168.103.184.62

I think we should do this workout side by side to encourage each other and laugh at ourselves!!

From Rachelle on Thu, Nov 29, 2012 at 09:50:52 from 199.190.170.22

Yeah I am definitely dropping down to the half. I just need to make sure I can today. :) Honestly the more I thought about it the more the thought of running a full marathon made me want to puke!

Julie - I wonder if you sweat as much as me? It is pretty funny how much I sweat when doing this workout.

Rachelle, what a great challenging workout!!! Good Job! Now I want to try this one too. You're giving me all sorts of awesome new workout ideas....thanks!

VERY nice workout Rachelle! I hear ya on the TM boredom. That is why I usually break it up with a mile on the track. I can't take just straight TM miles...without someone to talk to.

Go Rachelle!! I don't know how you do the treadmill so much, I just can't do it!

From Fritz on Fri, Nov 30, 2012 at 01:57:09 from 67.177.4.64

That's a long/hard run to do on a treadmill. Nice work! Not surprised by the boredom. :)
