Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

8.2 with Caleb in Spanish Fork.  He openned with a 7:54 min mile and I thought I might die. haha I like to start at like a 9 min pace.  After that everything felt easy.  I was shocked to see an AP of 7:52.  Definitely felt slower.  So so nice to have some company and the miles ticked on by.

20 min weights at the gym.  1 mile cooldown on the treamill.

Plan for this weekend is to fatigue my legs as much as possible going into the hilly 5k on Saturday.  I want to practice running hills on tired legs to prep for the final hard miles of TOU.

Tomorrow:  16-17 miles with the speedstars JulieC and Jane of AF with the last 4 fast.

Saturday:  5-6 miles hills before the 8am 5k start.

PM:  2 miles easy.  It is hot out but definitely not too bad as long as I am just jogging. :)

Just saw this and thought of you - print it and post it on your fridge...

Wow thanks for the visual Jake. The worst part is we started a "walk at work" competition so not only was I just wearing high heels but walking 1-2 miles a day in them.

I have got to go shoe shopping because I only own 1 pair of flats! Shouldn't be too hard. :)

And Toby I do not know what I am getting myself into tomorrow morning. Julie and Jane are fast! I am quite good at holding up the caboose on LR's though. :)

I have seen you in Ragnar-- none of this will fatigue your legs :D.

From JulieC on Thu, Aug 09, 2012 at 10:55:29 from 67.41.191.147

I hope by mile 12 to be at 8-8:10 pace. I just want to blab and take it easy :D. go away smoke!!

Love the pic Jake sent you! I literally put all of my heels away once I started PT school. (I'll pull them out occasionally for a night on the town ... but that is it!!!) :)

From Teena Marie on Thu, Aug 09, 2012 at 11:35:13 from 67.2.96.50

That sounded weird. "Night on the town" does not correlate with any type of illegal hookeresque activities!!!! :) :) :) Just time with the hubs!!! :) :) :)

From allie on Thu, Aug 09, 2012 at 17:35:17 from 174.23.146.24

teena -- hahaha.

i usually wear gold paratrooper boots for special occasions (nights on the town).

From Kelli on Thu, Aug 09, 2012 at 19:24:44 from 67.172.235.55

I wear sparkly flip flops for my night on the town.

Rachelle, you are a running machine! You are doing so incredibly well! If you can keep up with Julie and Jane (which I know you can and will)-WOW!!!! Remember our 20 miler last year when we moaned and groaned about keeping up with Julie and Allie and how we would never be that fast?? Well, YOU ARE!!!!!!!

The past few days have been some solid miles, keep up the good work!
