Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

7.2 hilly route in Salem with Jen at a faster than normal clip, 7:13 pace.  Glad to see that the pace reflected the effort because I just thought maybe the hills had grown over the weekend.  A good run and my right foot did not bother me much at all.  I loosened up the toe box area of my shoes and that definitely seemed to help.

Here is a link to the story that Amy Donaldson and the Des News did on me.  It feels really overwhelming to have my story shared publicly but I am thankful that they contacted me and hope it can help others.  A huge thanks to everyone on the blog for all of your continued support and encouragement.  I have learned so much from this blog and would not be near where I am with my running if it weren't for so many of you.

Super great article! Have you ever thought about speaking at bereavement groups? Maybe you already have... but they have them at hospitals and schools. I think people could really benefit from your story!

I love just about every article Amy D. writes, so seeing that she featured you and your story (which I've read before on your blog), I prepared myself to be affected again.

Your story is worth being told, obviously, and your well-spoken insights will I think help and inspire a lot of readers. It's not easy going through a tragedy like that, but I'm proud of you for allowing yourself to become refined rather than defined by it. I think your brother must be proud of you.
