Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

30 minutes weights

Such an awesome tempo/progression run this morning.  Totally the confidence boosting run that I needed right now in my training.  My legs were feeling nice and fresh after 3 easy days in a row.  I did just .5 mi warmup and then gradually went into the tempo.  7:35, 7:30, 7:24, 7:24, 7:19, 7:13, 7:09, 7:04, 6:58, 6:48.  My friend Candice ran next to me on the treadmill for the first 4 and they totally flew by.  I was glad she was there because I kept wanted to push the pace (I felt so good) but talking to her helped me to stay at a conservative/chatty effort.  After she left I got focussed and down to business.  I felt like I could have kept going but knew this was more than what I wanted and I needed to be smart.  Treadmill incline for first 5 mi was 1.5%, next 3 @ 1%, and last 2 at .5% incline.

Bib #13745 for Boston!!!  I think it is finally starting to become real to me that I will be running the Boston Marathon!  So incredibly surreal.

way to go Rachelle. I have no confidences boosters and it is really worrying me almost bringing me to tears writing this. I am trying to fall back on earlier training but that seems so far away.....off to the Drs. this morning. Hoping for another miracle. ummm what is your goal??? I am think 3:20 to 2:25 is totally within reach if not faster : D.

NICE! Look at your past 10 days - 13 mile tempo, 2 x 5 mi fast, and 10 miles progression. Those are really the big 3 workouts! It couldn't have gone much better.

You're ready for this.
