Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

I found out that Melissa that I paced Saturday finished in 1:35:04.  Not too shabby for the unofficial 1:35 pacer without a watch. :)

PM:  2 mi up to the city building to pay my bill and then up to Smiths to buy a cucumber.  Ended up buying a cucumber, tomatoe, and 2 bags of Halloween candy so I walked home and rewarded my efforts with 1 laffy taffy every half mile.  It was a productive afternoon.

Halloween Spooktacular Fun Run:  Lehi JRP via Willow Park at 5:30am.  Bring your headlamp, or dress up like a christmas tree.

Halloween run sounds FUN! I bet I could work it in. Now if my husband will cooperate :)

From Jake K on Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 10:02:52 from 155.100.226.191

Don't you pacers usually only consider it a success if you get within 1/1000th of a second of the goal time? :-)

From Rachelle on Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 10:53:57 from 199.190.170.21

Lily - Yes please! I will let you know more details as I figure things out.

Jake - I would definitely be upset with those extra 4 seconds if I was an official pacer. But since I was wearing a bikini and just running to the beach I'll let it slide. :)

funny Rachelle!! :D

From JulieC on Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 12:29:40 from 67.41.190.108

hey it looks like it is time to almost "zero" out all your shoes-- since 10 of them have over 400 miles on them : D!!!

but since you are rotating them I am sure you can get 700 out each pair!!

I'd LOVE to do the Lehi JRP on Halloween!! But, I've told you that like 500 times already :) I say we do what we did a couple weeks ago. 7.5-8 meet at 5:30 at Willow Park?

From Rachelle on Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 15:15:16 from 199.190.170.24

Perfect Rachel! 5:30am is against my running religion but I will definitely break the rules for some awesome company. :)

From JulieC on Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 15:40:35 from 67.41.190.108

you wouldn't mind pushing up the time to 420am and starting at my house??? LOL!! really wish I could join you two again!! I will have to run my own halloween run-- dark and lonely. hmmm maybe i will "dress up" for it.

From NatalieK on Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 16:44:31 from 24.2.101.184

Rachelle, I have a question for you. Didn't you have metatarsalgia at one point? Dr. Google and I have diagnosed myself with it. What did you do to get over it?

From Cam on Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 18:09:51 from 70.95.175.41

no watch? epic pace win

From Rachelle on Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 18:55:37 from 76.8.202.193

Julie - you know me I'll run at any time to be with friends. :) Not sure about 4am though...I think the buck stops there.

Natalie - Does it feel like someone took a match and lit the bottom of your feet on fire? If so it is definitely metetarsalgia and it sucks! I still have it but it only bothers me when I run distance. Were you ever a dancer in your pre running mommy life? I think I get it because I danced my whole life and have a tendency to run on my toes. Just ask JulieC she makes fun of me all the time. The only thing I've found that helps is avoiding uphill/downhill running and wearing padded inserts in my shoes. Lightening your landing helps as well. But changing natural running form is not something I recommend or something that I've been able to do.

Cam - I am a master pacer!

Oooh keep me in the loop for the Spooktacular Fun Run!

From Matt Schreiber on Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 20:48:33 from 66.17.102.185

Love the pm workout. Much deserved after nailing the pacing on the half.

From NatalieK on Tue, Oct 30, 2012 at 15:24:30 from 98.202.32.96

Rachelle, I was never a dancer. It feels more like there is a rock in the ball of my foot. Sometimes it is tingly. I'm definitely going to try inserts. Any recommendations on what type or does it even matter?

From RAD on Tue, Oct 30, 2012 at 22:00:03 from 98.202.23.178

Natalie, if it feels like a rock in your shoe you have a neuroma. I had one this summer (and one before my running days), and I just went to my doc he gave me one cortizone shot. It took about a week or two for full effect, but I haven't felt it since. Check that out (google) and see what you think. I'd almost bet money that if it feels like a rock that is what you have.
