Mile warmup, then mile time-trial on the track - 5:29. Two mile cooldown with Vanessa. Hamstring was not good on the warmup and time-trial, but ok-ish on the cooldown. Exercises and ice when I got home. (K 27.5) (V 16.2)

Pretty good run today, I figured out that if I run on flat ground and don't go super fast my hamstring stays reasonably happy. So I ran around the neighborhoods behind the dorm for 40 minutes this afternoon. A little bit later I ran down to the weight room for our weight circut. A tad sore from the weights, but hopefully it's just making me stronger! (K 32.5)

North from the track, out 20 minutes then back at "6:30-7:00/mi pace." Ha! Our pacers on the way back were a bit on the fast side, since we got back in 15:30 (~6:20/mi pace). The first while went  surprisingly well, but the last half-mile or so I probably should've toned it down a bit. Blah. And then it exploded again! (K 37.4)

Ran from my dorm to the outdoor track, walked to the indoor track, then after everyone had finished their 4x800 relay there, we all ran to the weight room from the indoor track for weights. (K 39)

Warmed up with the team, feeling pretty nervous for the workout today, but it turned out to be not nearly as hard as I was expecting. Coach gave us a pace for our 400's (1:31 for me) and told us to do as many as we could with as much recovery time as we wanted. Eeek! But it turned out he meant as many as we could do in a half-hour. No probalo! Justine and I buddied up and started off doing them with 60 sec recovery. We did our first 7 or 8 that way and they were so easy, and too fast to boot . Then we started gradually cutting down our recovery time so we could get more in - we ended up with 13 and a half total. Times were 1:27, 1:28, 1:30, 1:29, 1:28, 1:29, 1:28, 1:28, 1:28, 1:27, 1:26, 1:27, 1:27 and 0:43 for 200m. Not bad at all! It felt really easy and my legs felt surprisingly good. Nice way to end out the week. (K 41.6) (M spike 3.4)

Plotted out a perfect 60-minute loop: down 12th east and onto the canyon road, then on the canal trail until it ends, on 6th east until 14th north, then up that until the canal trail, on that until Lundstrom park, then down onto 16th east and back to the dorm. Overall the run went pretty well, legs a bit sore and hamstring a bit worse than yesterday, but the running came easy and was relaxing for the most part. Plus, the weather was great and the snow is almost all gone! 7:52/mi avg. (K 49.3)
