My  legs were sore in very odd ways today from all the snorkeling we did yesterday, so I'm pretty sure this run would be slow slow slow. So I ran naked along the same route I did yesterday, just out and back again. At the turnaround I stopped and watched the waves crashing into the rock for a while and almost caught a couple of crabs and skinks (close, but no cigar). Tiring, but a nice run. My left foot has been hurting lately, I'm not liking it much at all. (DS3 271.4)

After the run, my nephews wanted to go running with me, so we ran about a half mile really slowly with lots of stops and walking. The biggest problem was Ila, the dog, coming along too and trying to pick fights with every dog along our way. Fun still, though!

Great picture...do you like coconuts? I've just started eating them occasionally and I love the coconut water in them.

Sarah - I LOVE coconuts! They're everywhere here, so I can eat them all the time and we don't have to buy them - score!

Holt - A giant clam shell, duh. ;) It was trying to eat my head as you can see.

Marcie - Yes way! And I just unpacked my mace, so I'll bring it along tomorrow for sure. Let's avoid rabies!

oh, and tell mom or dad to tell me what is in the Soy Protein container... cause it sure isn't soy protein!!! - I made a shake and when I tasted it I was like, "This tastes like batter?!?! not nasty soy protein shake..." I was very much confuzzled. I think it might be gf pancake mix, since I didn't get any stomach cramps and it reminded me of the smell of pancake mix.

anyway, have funs in SAMOA!

It's hot here but I'm having fun. Sounds like you are having a blast. I wish I could go run on the beach. I'm way excited for my senior year, it's going to be great. Anyway, catch a sunset on the beach for me k?

Ruth,

Reading your blog I am very jealous. That sounds like a great way to spend your summer. Where exactly is american Samoa in contrast to Samoa? I see your off to Logan for school, my oldest daughter is going there this fall too. You guys should say "hi" She's not into running but maybe you could be a good influence and convince her that it's not evil!
